Events

We see passages in scripture like Psalm 34:8 that says The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

We know God cares about everyone and provides for us in our time of need. And as a church, we want to acknowledge and live out God’s love for us and one another. So, Encounter is a service where the broken can come and meet with God. It’s a safe place where it’s ok not to be ok. No judgement, no shame, no advice. Just a place to lament and seek God. A place for the long suffering and those going through just a fleeting moment of hardship to enter into God’s presence and lament your life and situation like many in the Bible do.

Physical suffering, mental health, grief, relational breakdowns, ongoing sin, financial struggles, doubt, crisis of faith, whatever it is, you are welcome.

Because the reality is, when we are suffering we are more prone to doubt God, to doubt ourselves and feel alone. This is when we are most vulnerable and susceptible to spiritual attack. So, Encounter is a place where you can be honest with God as you encounter him through song, scriptures, stories and supplication/prayer. It is open to anyone who wants to come, you know if this is something you need. All are welcome.
